Community Event Posters

May 2023

Approximately one of every four households in Lynwood, California lacks a home internet subscription, while those that do rely too often on service that is either too slow or unaffordable. These posters were made for a community engagement event to help local leaders and ISPs understand what are the most important needs for broadband service in the community.

Participants were encouraged to interact with these posters by using stickers and notes to add their own thoughts to the following questions:

  1. How has limited access to the internet impacted you and your family?

  2. How would affordable, reliable internet change you or your family’s life?

  3. Which factor is the most important in considering an internet service provided by the City and School District?

  4. If the City and Lynwood Unified School District provided home internet service, what is the maximum you would be willing to pay monthly?
